The start of the project
AngelEye stemmed from the need to make more an effective and safer assistance service for swimmers by exploiting the innovative technologies in the field of artificial intelligence. The project was developed in 2006 by Riccardo Casadei, owner of swimming facilities management services company with 10 years of experience in swimmer’s assistance and Andrea Marcato who has an in-depth knowledge of information technology in the field of image processing and artificial intelligence.
The company’s inception
An in-depth study of how the technology could be applied to swimmer’s assistance, determined the first step towards the establishment of AngelEye. After 2 years, marked by an intense work of analysis, creation and tuning, AngelEye srl was born, the first company specialized in drowning detection systems in swimming pools based on artificial intelligence. The profound knowledge of technologies to support safety in swimming pools has attracted regulatory bodies for a collaboration in the drafting of standards that could define an appropriate quality standard, first at local level (DIN and Afnor) and then at international level with the ISO standard that represents the world standard (ISO 20380:2017).
International orientation
From the very beginning AngelEye has shown a great openness towards the international context, initially at European level and then at world level. The company expanded into Silicon Valley, California where it was honoured with the “Best of California Awards 2018” as the best technology in the service of the community. The international presence is guaranteed by an extensive network of partners carefully selected to provide maximum support and advice during the design phase and for the provision of assistance and maintenance services.
