In December, the final phase of the installation of the AngelEye LifeGuard drowning detection and prevention system was completed in a new French swimming facility: Centre Aquatique Linéo (Wormhout).
On this occasion, the AngelEye staff has performed the tests to verify the system’s compliance with the current standard on computer vision systems for the detection of drowning accidents in swimming pools (ISO 20380), which defines its operational, performance and safety requirements.
The newly constructed swimming facility, which will be officially opened to the public from mid-January 2022, will see AngelEye LifeGuard technology for public pools installed in the 20m x 25m sports pool with eight swimming lanes. Because of the many aquatic activities that will take place in the aquatic center, also aimed at students, the Communauté de communes des Hauts de Flandre chose AngelEye to ensure maximum safety for its guests.

Underwater cameras will allow the lifeguards to have a complete view of all movements of the swimmers in the pool and to be immediately alerted in case of drownings in progress.
